I have been doing my own growing in my back yard for quite a while and found a few thing about growing. If you look at soil all over the earth one thing is pretty apparent and that is the mineral content. Trace minerals are just as important in plant production as basic nutrients in the soil. After many hours of research I have found a few thing about the best ways to grow plants and aquaponics seems to have really made things click for me.

I just finished updating the tool to the new version of Google Sheets, and it's working like a dream now; it's much faster, some persistent bugs are resolved, and it even looks better. I also cleaned up some things under the hood to streamline it, and I added quite a bit of example distribution and CSA data to mess around with. We have received a NE-SARE Farmer grant for this project and will be building and trialing the sprayer in 2014 and 2015. Andrew Landers from Cornell will provide technical assistance to the project.

I uploaded the encyclopedia as a PDF to Archive.org so they were able to make it readable online. I embedded it on the wiki page for this tool.

Just wanted to let people know that the Sweat Box Germ Chamber documentation is now complete-ish. I included photos of the entire process, updated the bill of materials, and finished the write up. Please let me know if you have any questions.

A recent post tool post to the Tool section wrote over the "tool template wiki" - with "Farm Bicycle" a totally understandable thing to do. The template is a bit misleading - ideally it would be the formatted starting place to begin tool documentation, etc. but at the moment it is just a reference, and new tools need to be created without formatting by selecting the "+Tool" button in the upper left corner of the screen. I was not able to gather who made the post because the edit was only in the tool profile section which does not track edits.

Hello, just wanted to make you aware that I finished updating this tool-- more pictures in the imgur album, a small bill of materials (most of this was from stuff we already had on the farm), and more explanatory text. Check it out!

This project has received SARE 2014 funding under the name of "Livestock tracking system". We are hoping this will give us enough resources to produce a working prototype before 2015.
