Farmers are working with limited resources: limited time, limited labor, and limited land. It’s important that they make a plan to maximize those resources. It’s also important to have an expectation of when a their farm will start to generate revenue. To do this farmers need a crop plan, and this Google Spreadsheet allows them to quickly and easily map out a timeline for the growing season.

Best medium for growing in aquaponics or soil based medium

I have been doing my own growing in my back yard for quite a while and found a few thing about growing. If you look at soil all over the earth one thing is pretty apparent and that is the mineral content. Trace minerals are just as important in plant production as basic nutrients in the soil. After many hours of research I have found a few thing about the best ways to grow plants and aquaponics seems to have really made things click for me.

Open Source Seed Initiative launched today

A group of scientists and food activists is launching a Thursday to change the rules that govern seeds. They're releasing 29 new varieties of crops under a new "open source pledge" that's intended to safeguard the ability of farmers, gardeners and plant breeders to share those seeds freely.

It's inspired by the example of open source software, which is freely available for anyone to use but cannot legally be converted into anyone's proprietary product.

The Ultimate Eggmobile

I have posted a few other projects as wikis and find there isn't much participation, so if you have anything to contribute to this build / idea I would like to hear it.
