A while ago, I proposed a strawbale cold house, split in half, with one half filled with water barrels that were allowed to freeze, and the other half for cold storage. A fan would move air through the insulated partition wall as needed. The barrels would be frozen by running a fan from outside air during the winter.
However, according to one source even a partially filled barrel will bulge and fail. I'm not impressed by the thought of three high stacks of round bottom barrels either.

It's great to see the thingiverse embedded into the Farm Hack site. I recently used Grab CAD as another option for uploading CAD to the web and posting to the Farm Hack site for the Finger Weeder documentation. Thanks for contributing these awesome seeder wheels!
I didn't create this device, so all credit to these farmers for working out a way to keep their goats water buckets from freezing in the winter, using tires, foam insulation and a bit of styrofoam.

I would like plans for making a slef feeder for pigs out of a 50 gallon barrel. Thank youl.
Since this is open source perhaps you could post some data on how to build one? Hardware, software, schematics, etc.?
Hi,
it took a while to find the fields to enter personal data to my account, like adress/organisation/selfdescription. This should be entered while setting up an account to have more (voluntairy) information available.
With this data, we could set up an search function for registered FarmHackers, to get in contact with people easier, with same interest/skills etc. for developing projects together or general exchange.
Finally, a chainsaw holder that keeps the bar steady while you sharpen the chain! It is 2 pieces of 2x4, the length of your bar, attached to a piece of plywood, about 1' wide x 3' long. Leave enough space between the 2x4s so your chain can move freely. Next, set the saw in place, position a latch in the handle. I used a dead bolt surface mount latch, shimmed up with spacers. Set the whole thing down on a stump or two. Sit at the other end and sharpen away!
Hello again,
I was already provided with a high res version of the main FH logo here
Would also be nice if I could have the same for the 2 different subtitled logos.
Once I have that I can have a go at making a flyer template which could then be downloaded and the relevant local info added. I'm thinking half page is generally best, but maybe quarter too. Not my area of expertise this, but I'll have a go. If anyone else would like to help, please do.
