Hi all, I'm spreading the word about a new farmer-to-farmer networking and information-sharing platform called FarmsReach (farmsreach.com). It's great for growers of all experience levels, and was essentially designed by CA farmers and several nonprofits that serve the farming community.
There are a lot of features I think you'd find useful:
-Discussion forum, where we have 17 respected and knowledgeable "Featured Farmers" at the ready to answer questions and share wisdom. -An Events calendar with all the events hosted by Extension, Farm Bureau, NCAT/ATTRA, NRCS, CCOF, FarmLink, FSA, etc. all in one place. -A News sections with news feeds, newsletters from the organizations above, NOAA's monthly reports, and policy action alerts. -Easy Toolkits about business planning, marketing & sales, and seed. -A Seed searching tool (soon to be expanded!) -A Services Directory, like a "yellow pages" with the organizations, lenders and brokers that serve CA producers (soon to be expanded!)
