USDA Innovations Challenge

Hey everyone,

Just a short intro, I basically know nothing much about farming except that its a pretty data-driven and specialized practice with a wide range of different kinds of farming. I'm a web developer/CS student whose had several web apps under my belt (see my github: github.com/mding5692) and am working on an online hackathon by the USDA called the USDA Innovations Challenge (http://usdaapps.devpost.com/) and am working with a professor from North Caroline State University who specializes in plants as well several other devs.

I was just wondering what kind of things you would want to see happen if any of you or your friends had access to USDA data. And yep, this is user research i guess.

Also do join the hackathon if you want to participate :)
