This is a wireless, solar powered chicken coop sensor that measures ambient temperature and relative humidity inside of a chicken coop. It is made out of the internals of the soil/garden sensor that I posted here. Once the 3D printed components are done, It is made to be easy to install. All you need is a drill, 2" hole saw and 4, #6 woodscrews. No other wiring is needed it is all self contained. This is still a work in progress with a number of improvements to be done in next few weeks
1) A HTU21d to measure ambient temp and relative humidity OUTSIDE of the coop.
2) Enlarge clearance holes to a #6 woodscrew passes easier though it.
3) Dust cover to help partially enclose the DHT22 from dust, etc...
4) Add ammonia sensor.
Long Term
1)Finish BOM
2)Code on GITHUB
I have posted the .STLs need to 3D print the housing enclosure at thingiverse. http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1079828
