    Don't get me wrong, I love all the bicycle powered tools being built but I was hoping to find something cheaper and easier. This led me to purchase a Sun Joe leaf Mulcher (https://www.amazon.com/Sun-Joe-SDJ616-Shredder-13-Amp/dp/B00EUU044S). I plan on threshing oats, bell beans and tillage radish seed pods once they are bone dry. I think it has potential to do the trick.

    Hackable 3D Printed Precision Seeder

    Included you will find my original designs for a hackable mechanical 3D printed precision seeder that I created in order to make adjustments in sowing seeds in any which way. Currently it can sow most vegetable seeds based on a few generalized seed discs but these may be redesigned and 3D printed to the user's liking. I have also developed a seed counter as an add-on however it is still in development to try a more sensitive sensor to detect smaller seeds. All measurements are U.S. Customary values in inches and most of the assembly hardware can be found in most hardware stores. A parts list will soon be included.

    this diy autonomous tractor is currently functioning as a remote control electric tractor. the next stage will be to implement an RTK GPS guidance system, then after that to give it computer vision. My colleague, Paddy, is working to develop software and hardware designs to facilitate the emergence of an open source industry for farm robots, to make this emerging technology available to small farmers. The first video bellow is of his robot. My goal is to develop a machine that can use his open source farm robot control system in a vehicle that can completely replace the tractor work on the diversified market garden on which i work. The second video bellow is of the second test drive of the robot i am working on. It would be great to see a wide range of diy farm robots being built and tested, and to get a global community of farmers and engineers collaborating to try and compete with the giants of agricultural machinery for control of this emerging technology
