Hi there. I've been hoping someone would make an Open Hardware version of this design (post in the ground with microcontroller and solar panel on top) for some time now. I'm working a project called Open Pipe Kit where the goal is write a piece of software that can live on a small Linux machine like Raspberry Pi or BeagleBone Black that can pull data from any sensor and push it to any database (online or offline). Currently it's very alpha so we don't have a lot of sensor and database drivers written but I'd love to write a driver for your mote so we can send that data to any of the databases we've written drivers for! Yeah, of course you can write a driver for using a Garden Node/Mote with Open Pipe Kit. However, it is still in a alpha stage and being improved weekly. What do you need from us? I am working on this project with a buddy of mine. So, between the 2 of us we should be able to answer any questions. Quick question what timezone is the 8pm hangout based in?
